No dia 23 de setembro os integrantes do Grupo de Estudo Sistematizado de Santa Cruz estiveram em Currais Novos para uma visita ao Núcleo Espírita Seara de Luz.
A visita se deu dentro das comemorações do primeiro aniversário do ESDE – Santa Cruz e teve como objetivo conhecer a estrutura e o funcionamento de uma Casa Espírita e como conseqüência o fortalecimento dos laços entre os irmãos destas duas cidades, que se acham unidos pelos ideais do estudo e da vivência da Doutrina Espírita.
Santa Cruz não conta ainda com uma Casa Espírita, mas este Movimento embrionário já surge com boas perspectivas, uma vez que tem como prioridade o estudo doutrinário. Este estudo vem se realizando com o apoio da FERN/CRES II, e do companheiro Mário Lúcio, do Núcleo Espírita Estância da Paz, de Natal.
No item 334 do capitulo XXIX, de “O Livro dos Médiuns”, Allan Kardec, referindo-se aos grupos espíritas,afirma que “esses grupos, correspondendo-se entre si, visitando-se, permutando observações, podem formar, desde já, o núcleo da grande família espírita que um dia consorciará todas as opiniões e reunirá os homens por um único sentimento: o da fraternidade, trazendo o cunho da caridade cristã”.
Fica patente que os desbravadores santacruzenses começaram bem.
